Service: Lime Render system with Steico wood fibre insulation
Location: Walmer, Kent
Client: Domestic client
When: Completed in spring 2026
Purpose: Apply a fully breathable, insulated lime render system to a new-build Passivhaus, supporting its 100% energy-efficient design.
Regency Projects carried out an insulated lime render installation on a Passivhaus new-build in Walmer, Kent, constructed by specialist Passivhaus builders to a 100% energy-efficient standard.
Because the building’s performance depended on a fully breathable envelope, we installed a Steico wood fibre insulation system rather than a standard EPS board, keeping the wall build-up in line with the wider Passivhaus approach. This was finished with a lime-based base coat in Warm Shell, reinforced with embedded orange mesh, followed by a breathable lime top coat in a soft green finish.
Working to the demands of a Passivhaus specification calls for real precision in how a render system is detailed and applied. This project reflects our ability to deliver breathable, natural render systems that support the performance goals of highly energy-efficient new builds in Kent.
